Fun and easy free bag tutorial.

I love to keep this bag in my purse in places where I don't want anyone to hear that I open something. No velcro noise, no zipper screech. Especially at the middle of service when my kids need toys or crayons.

Step 1:
1 piece exterior fabric, 8” x 10”
1 piece lining fabric, 6” x 10”
1 piece of cotton batting, 8” x 10” (only if you want make your bag thickness)

1 piece of cotton 12"X2"
yarn or leather cord 20" long

Step 2: take piece of cotton 12"X2" fold short edges twice. Iron and sew. Now your stripe should be 9.8" long.

Step 3:

Step 3: Take exterior fabric, and lining fabric. Fold short edges together face to face. Sew bottom and side of your bag. Cut corners.

Repeat for the lining.

Step 4. Fold your piece of cotton 12"X2" (now 9.8"X2") on half, wrong sides together and press.

Sew folded piece of cotton to the wrong side of the lining fabric. Leave 0.5" on the top of lining fabric.

Step 5:
(If you use batting this is time to put it inside)

Put lining fabric and exterior fabric wrong sides together. Match up the seams. Sew all the way around the top.

Using a safety pin, thread the cording through the casing.

Do the "all done dance" !!!! :) :)
